Spring Flowers

I haven't had much time to paint myself during March, so these are all of my new paintings that I have to showcase. The top painting is a mixed media painting, and the one below is oil. Hoping to have more time to paint in April and May. I've been dying to get some studio time for me...so inspired by all the blooming spring flowers and beautiful colors. Happy Spring!

Painting Daffodils

Let's Paint Friday!

These were completed in 2 hours in acrylic paint on a 16 x 20 canvas.

 

I took about 20 minutes at the beginning of class and we looked at live daffodils outside and sketched the flowers from different perspectives. I sketched with them and showed them how to draw several different views. I also had some cut daffodils in class so they could refer to them while they were painting.
